The cost of training your Knowledge Base with PDFs

Loading a PDF into your Knowledge Base consumes roughly 1 request for every 300 words. It costs ~5 requests for every 3 pages.

2. How does Keymate calculate the price for my Ultimate Web App use?

Understanding your quota usage

How we calculate your quota use on Keymate Ultimate

Your use of Keymate.AI, whether on Keymate.AI Plugin, Keymate Ultimate Web App, or the official Keymate.AI GPT are coming from the same quota pool. However, each platform measures requests differently. Each request on Keymate Ultimate is metered and billed dynamically depending on prompts, input and output keywords.

Understanding the Cost

1 request may cost you between $0.03 - $1.2. This depends on the number of tokens a request uses.

The cost per 1K tokens is roughly $0.05 according to the prices pre-determined by OpenAI. (You can read more about the way they count the token use here)

With these costs, we provide a limited token pool for each subscription plan. The Ultimate plan with 3K credits provides you with 1200K input and output tokens for $60.

The pricing page here explains how many requests each plan offers. You can choose the one that suits your needs the best.

Sample Cost Calculation for a Search & Browse Prompt

Let's say your prompt is: "What's the price of bitcoin?"

Since this prompt needs real-time knowledge, it automatically needs Keymate.AI Search & Browse functionality. Using web search costs you 1 request. Then, as a result of search, we feed 6,000 to 8,000 words into the GPT-4 API. This costs between $0.3 to $0.4. This means it consumes 30 to 40 requests. So, in total you consume 31 to 41 requests from your total request pool.

128K context allows around 96K max tokens. The max requests consumption then would be 61 for 1 message.
